General Requirements
The general academic requirements for admission into undergraduate degree programmes of IIUM are:

  1. At least three (3) principal passes in the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’ (GCE) ‘A’ Level Examination (UK Educational System) obtained in one sitting; OR

  2. International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum of six (6) subjects obtained in one sitting; OR

  3. A Diploma or any other Equivalent Qualification recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the Senate of the University, and

    • A good pass at SPM level or its equivalent;
    • A credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia at SPM level or its equivalent;
    • A minimum of MUET 3;

      OR
  4. A pass in STPM examination with at least:

    • Grade C (subject grade point) of 2.00 in the General Paper, and
    • Grade C (subject grade point) of 2.00 in two (2) other subjects taken, and
    • A CGPA at 2.00


  5. Any other qualifications that are recognized by the Senate of the University as equivalent to the above.
