THE MATRICULATION CENTER (NOW CENTRE FOR FOUNDATION STUDIES) The Matriculation Centre, International Islamic University Malaysia (now CFS), was established in July 1985, a specially designed Centre to accommodate and tailor students for entrance to degree programmes of the University. At present, the Matriculation Centre is situated at Section 17, Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan, occupying the former Kolej Islam Malaya’s campus. The objective of the Matriculation Programme is to prepare candidates for admission into the bachelors Degree Programmes of the University. The philosophy of the International Islamic University Malaysia, which forms the basis of the Matriculation Centre is applicable to all Matriculation Programmes. Hence, students are subject to the requirements laid down by the University with respect to the Islamic principles of education, values and way of life that require the integration of Islamic worldview and Islamic codes of conduct. As the CFS is the feeder institution to the main campus, the students are required to follow English and Arabic courses as pre-requisites to their respective programmes. The English and Arabic courses are the same as conducted by the English Language Division and Quranic Language Division at the main campus. |
