UNDERGRADUATE UNIVERSITY AWARDS FOR IIUM CONVOCATION

UNIVERSITY LEVEL AWARDS
(The most prestigious University Awards and are opened to all kulliyyahs' students to compete)

1. The Royal Education Award
   sponsored by Majlis Raja-Raja
   - Awarded to Malaysian students who have shown outstanding performance in academic and co-curricular activities.
2. IIUM Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement
   - Excellent academic performance is taken as the sole criterion for selection of its recipient
3. Best Student (Overall)
   - Awarded to the overall best student
4. President's Award (Excellent Performance in Co-curricular Activities at International Level)
   - Awarded to any student, who is excellent in academic and has international level achievements in co-curricular activities
5. Rector's Award (Excellent Performance in Co-curricular Activities at National Level)
   - Awarded to any student, who is excellent in academic and has national level achievements in co-curricular activities
6. IIUM Gold Medal Award for Comprehensive Excellence
   - Awarded to any student who obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.6, has international level achievements in co-curricular activities reaching at least the grand final of the event, and is ineligible to receive any other award conferred during the convocation
7. Best Student of the Tahfiz Award
   - As recognition to student, who has performed well in his/ her studies and at the same time, is able to memorise al-Qur'an within the specified period
8. SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT 'ABDULLAH IBNU UMM MAKTUM' AWARD
   - Awarded to 'Special' students for their perserverence and determination in seeking knowledge, despite of their disability.
