Welcome to the Centre for Professional Development (CPD) website. As the professional development agency of the IIUM, CPD acts as a training centre in planning and conducting professional development activities for IIUM academic staff. It is our aim to provide effective professional development activities in order to support IIUM vision and mission.
The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) hosted the 9th Meeting of the Malaysian Higher Education Teaching and Learning Council or MAGNETIC on 27 and 28 January 2010 at the Grand Ballroom, Flamingo Hotel, Ampang. The council is made up of the heads of teaching and learning centres from all IPTAs.
In conjunction with this meeting, the Centre for Professional Development (CPD), IIUM organized its annual IIUM E-learning Awards Dinner for the year 2009. The dinner was held on Wednesday night, 27 January at the Grand Ballroom, Flamingo Hotel, Ampang.
CPD organized the Ta’aruf & Intellectual Discourse Programme No. 35 (TIDE 35) for newly appointed IIUM academic staff from 30 November to 3 December 2009 at the Banquet Hall. A total of 59 academic staff from various Kulliyyahs attended the programme.
The Rector kicked-off the programme with his talk “The Uniqueness of IIUM and its Future Challenges”, followed by the Deputy Rector (Academic & Planning) who talked on “Academic Leadership in the Pursuit of Excellence”.
CPD organized a workshop on “Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using AMOS for Beginners” from 7 to 8 November 2009 at the Al-Ghazali Conference Room, Institute of Education, IIUM. A total of 35 participants attended the workshop. Most of the participants were academic staff from IIUM, UTM, UDM, UTHM, UMP, UPM, UTEM and USM. There were also participants from Yayasan Ilmuwan and the Embassy of Saudi Arabia.
