The conference will be held in two places:  Crown Princess Hotel (Day 1 and 2), and IIUM (Day 3)

:: INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY MALAYSIA (NOVEMBER 26, 2008)

The campus is situated within valleys at the foot of the Titiwangsa range that straddles the Malaysian peninsula. It is located about ten kilometers from Kuala Lumpur and is surrounded by beautiful limestone structures and greenery that slopes the hills and mountains. The staff and student population is international, with IIUM being the only full-fledged international university in the country, with English and Arabic as the medium of instruction depending on courses. This along with the Islamic mission makes the university unique and at the same diverse as it blends the past, present and future in producing graduates from many parts of the world. To find out more about the university, visit our website at http://www.iiu.edu.my. Participants staying at the Crown Princess Hotel or other hotels on Ampang Road will be transported by IIUM shuttle to campus.

:: KUALA LUMPUR

Kuala Lumpur has been dubbed as the world’s best tourism destination. The city is where the east meets the west, history meets the future, and it is a crossroad for the Asian region. Here, you will see a population that is so typical Asian, every body looks different and yet share plenty of similarities with one another. Anyone walking on the streets of Kuala Lumpur will be walking on the streets of a global city, where people might not ask you which country you are from but which area you live in, in Kuala Lumpur or Malaysia! See for yourself on your trip to our conference in November!  Read more on this delightful city on the Internet.

LRT TO IIUM

If you missed the shuttle to IIUM campus, locate the Putra LRT (light rail transit) station near Ampang Park which is accross the road and board the train going toward the Putra Terminal. Get down at the last stop, and board KL Rapid bus no. 231 outside the station to IIUM (every 15 minutes). The fare is only one ringgit, and the ticket is usable throughout the day for the same route! It is a convenient and nice ride, so do not take a cab. In IIUM, stop at the main hall (Cultural Activity Centre) which is about 200 metres from the university entrance. You have to press the bell.
