MAHALLAH AL-FARUQ

Being concerned about the ukhuwwah between Al-Faruq’s Representatives Council with the residents of Mahallah Al-Faruq, it came to our attention to organize a programme called “Al-Faruq’s Fiesta 2005” in this Mahallah to strengthen the bond between us. It will be on the 19th of February 2005 in Al-Faruq’s Square.

With the theme; “Breaking the barrier, building the Ukhuwwah” the regular weekend of the residents will be transformed into a one day fiesta filled with indoor and outdoor activities ranging from sports to cultural activities. There will be opportunities for the residents to manage stalls (selling food, items, used books etc.) and earn profits from the morning until night.

The Fiesta will be lightened up by special guests from the orphanage which later will be involved with IIUM students in cultural shows and other sports activities arranged for them. Invitations also will be sent to all the MRC and the SRC in this university in order to further foster good relationship among these student bodies.

At night, a grand dinner will be held for all the residents of Al-Faruq attended by some special guests. Afterwards, they will witness the launching of Al-Faruq’s Website and Al-Faruq’s Newsletter; ‘Perfections’. It is hoped that the programme will indeed be able to cast the spirit of brotherhood on all who participate in this programme. For students who wanted to participate, please do contact us. Activities are open to all students, brothers and sisters. Registrations will be based on first come first serve. A coaster bus will be constantly available for sisters who wanted to come to this fiesta. Lookout for further update from us!
