About the Conference As the world scientific and technological community embarks into the 21st century, it is vital to examine the role of ethics in engineering education. The world is concerned that engineering advancements and wild scientific breakthroughs may not always lead to ethically tolerable results. Reflecting on this concern, the Faculty of Engineering IIUM is organising the International Conference on Engineering Professional Ethics and Education (ICEPEE ‘08). The ICEPEE’08 focuses on various aspects of engineering professional ethics and education; from classrooms and laboratories to the sites and fields, addressing a range of issues surrounding ethics and values in relation to daily life uman conduct. We anticipate the participants will offer momentous deliberations on the themes of the conference and share with the rest of the world their ideas and research outputs.
