ISTAC is a research and postgraduate institution of the International Islamic University Malaysia offering master and doctoral degrees in Islamic and other civilizations; philosophy, ethics and contemporary issues; Islamic spiritual culture and contemporary society; Muslim world issues; and their respective sub-areas.

Admission Requirements

  1. A bachelor's degree or a master's degree in any discipline from a recognized university in Malaysia or elsewhere.
  2. A good reading knowledge of Arabic and proficiency in English, with a TOEFL score of at least 570.
  3. Some knowledge of the Qur'an and Hadith and Islamic thought.

Registration is two weeks prior to the beginning of the semester.
