Student Affairs & Graduate Assistantships, also known as SAGA is the unit deals with matters particularly related to postgraduate student’s academic lives. It organizes various activities and workshops on thesis and research writing, research methodology and the presentation of research findings of postgraduate students for the academic development of the postgraduate and guides them in their thesis writing process. The Unit also guides and supports the Postgraduate Students Society (PGSS) on its various activities.

The Unit promotes the University’s postgraduate programmes by participating in exhibitions on postgraduate programmes, publishing the University’s postgraduate prospectus, pamphlets, brochures and posters of the IIUM. Other functions of the Unit comprise coordinating the graduate assistantship programme of the IIUM, advising and guiding students on their thesis writing and providing facilities such as the writing Lab, binding, etc
